I don't want a flash hider/brake design like the new version. I have it on my 300 BLK and like it really well.

Definitely not cool. I tend to have a long memory about people like that. Once the bridge is burned with me it tends to remain so. I was not aware of that situation though.

When I get home I will try to see if I can hunt down a flash comp for you. If you ordered one from the link I posted I think that product is discontinued so you might have to just go with it.

There are too many good gun guys to deal with rather than dealing with some asshole anywhere.

For a small item like that who knows if you should make a big deal about it. Not my call to make.

If I remember correctly, I think they also put out an open "letter" to everyone from the owner(s) that basically said "F" you, you do what the market will bear, they even had a loyal following who were in total agreement....I think that was CTD...

Maybe we should have a shit list here on the forum for just this kind of thing. Asshole behavior is not acceptable to me at all.

The v2 flash comp isn't a brake or a glorified brake. I have a Griffin brake on my .308 and I shot it recently when I forgot to put my ear pro on - holy crap that woke me up and I doubt I'll ever forget to put my ear pro again before shooting that. My flash comp 2.0 is on my 5.56 (actually, 3 of them now) and I really like them. Much flatter shooting than an A2 FH, not noticeable change in percussion or noise, although it does appear to increase the back pressure a bit as my ejection pattern moved forward one or two notches on the clock.
