Anyone have a breakdown of exactly how the SR16 uppers differ from the SR15 ones? The bolt?

My understanding has always been the SR16's were FA versions. Bolts were the same.

Yes.

Isn't pretty much every AR upper "FA", since almost nobody uses the AR 15 BCG aside from Armalite?

Surplus SR-16 badged uppers being liquidated would be my guess. No difference between the 15 and 16 uppers other than the label.

That means everybody will be clamouring for them and drive the price sky-high. I wish to hell they'd release a run of stripped uppers, but after the fiasco with the lowers and everybody bitching about the anodizing, I'm not holding my breath.

I keep hearing no stripped uppers.

I'm curious to see if these complete uppers are $1600-$1800

Why would they when they can get a premium for complete SR 16 uppers? That said, I'm sure the different designation will command an extra $200 or so.

They are limited edition, per Grant. G&R will carry them.

Limited can mean so much. I'm wondering if it's limited like the lowers, where they sell, sell out, then restock.

Or is this a truly limited run?

Anyone getting one?

I saw that Brownells has them listed for $1470, but already out of stock from what I've been told. Other dealers will get some at the end of the month.

Why would they? After the whiny bitchfest with the lowers?

It's like those winers didn't even realize that they were paying for the rollmark, not the actual receiver...

Apparently, only 230 were released.

"Apparently, only 230 were released" Whether by design or default it is a great marketing strategy. Umbrella did the same thing except they forget to keep it going. HK does this as well. Looks like the stripped lowers are OOS everywhere now.

I wonder if Umbrella still plans to someday release that receiver set and stainless hammer forged barrels they posted forever ago.
