I usually prefer red dots, but the DD sights are great and I don't mind using those irons. I was toying with throwing together a carry handle/FSB SBR

My SHTF stash rifles are set up like that (carry handle/FSB) - never need to think about changing batteries, they can be left alone for years without issue, etc. Also I built them a really long time ago when red dots weren't so popular ...

Apparently there are rumors flying about the quick F4s

I sent mine in too soon (6/7/19 pending).

I read some new examiners or employees were grabbing forms off the wrong piles but they corrected the mistake and it’s back to 8-11 months for normal approvals

My dad just got a stamp back...2/12/19 pending and 10/3/19 approved. F4 individual

What this shows is that the NFA approval process is so entirely random that it’s like throwing darts at a board while blindfolded and they just approve whichever form gets hit by a dart

I ended up with a real one. Local LE dude about 6 years ago came back from the middle east after doing a stint as a contractor. Posted up on a local board. At that time no one knew what exactly a PEQ2 was, and I offered him $750 and he took it as it as sitting on the board for weeks.

Turned out it was a brand new unit. When he got to Iraq, he obtained a PEQ-15, and put this one back in the box.

The LMT MARS is definitely up there as far as favorite lowers go. I also like the Radian of course, but this is a lot cheaper and just as functional. Something about the MARS paired up with an MRP upper though...

I just received it Thursday. RDS came today. Not a single shot fired so far. Trigger is awesome, 3.5 pounds with a positive reset. Hammer fired, not striker. Like it so far, will see how the accuracy is next range trip.
