Recce 5 is lighter than the Saker K, only .4" longer (when side-by-side, not when mounted), and is one of the quietest cans out there aside from the fullsize SpecWar 5.56.

Unless you're running a 7.5" barrel....I don't want to deal with the Saker mounting system. Just my opinion...

It's similar in the robust design of an acog (4x) but can also be used in 1x like a red dot. The FOV is also huge compared to a traditional scope or rds. Personally I love the reticle on it as well.

Sure, it's a 25,000sq ft shop with 9 bays, 5 lifts and storage for 4,000 tires but we normally only have 2-3k at any given time. It's a national franchise specializing in passenger cars and trucks but we also do service for fleet, semis, farm tractors and industrial equipment.

I finally got around to snapping a few quick photos of my recently completed 300BLK upper wearing a Saker 762, all on an SBR'ed Noveske Gen 1 lower.

The lower is finished with Battle Arms EPS and BAD-CASS selector, Geissele SSA trigger, Magpul CTR stock/MIAD grip/enhanced trigger guard, BCM receiver extension/action spring/H2 buffer, Noveske QD end plate, and Colt small parts/springs.

The upper is a forged BCM with a 10.5" Noveske 300BLK barrel, Geissele 9.5" Mk8 hand guard, Silencerco Trifecta RS flash hider, Rainier Arms Raptor CH, LMT standard BCG, Troy BUIS, and an Aimpoint T1 on a ADM mount.

Here's an interesting item. Suppressed, full-auto, MINIATURIZED 9mm AR. That's right... miniaturized. Not sure what I mean? Then look very closely at the receiver, or better yet the ejection port door. Stupid quiet with subs... and I mean as quiet as most suppressed 22's.

Thanks. Been kind of interested in a 9mm AR for a long time. Seems like the market is picking up, not just Colt-style stuff anymore. Also seems like a lot of it is vaporware at the moment ... we shall see.

Griffin Recce 5 Mod 3.

However, the mounts, while different in size, both feature tapers and similar threading. The Recce locks up great. I've actually seen the SPR/OTB, the 5.56 version of the Over the Barrel can (I believe you're referring to the 7.62 version) and it looked and sounded great.

I had a really hard time deciding on which of their cans was the best for my needs because they have so many great options. I would have to build some rifles around their cans because I'd still like an M4SDII, Recce 7, and SPR/OTB.

It's not mine (it belongs to the Atomic Tactical) and I've never shot it, so I have no first hand experience with it. That said, the owner of AT said just what you mentioned, namely, very little POI shift. He also said it was extremely quiet.

Thanks, bro. I haven't had the chance to shoot with the Osprey yet, but i like the way it balances on the P220. And because of the shape of the Osprey, i still have somewhat of a sight picture using standard height sights on the pistol. I need to pick up a few more pistons of various thread pitches so i can have quiet time with more than one host. [BD]

That is a thing of beauty, UW! I recommend a Griffin Flashcomp. It looks like a dead copy of the SLR synergy which is plain sexy, and gives you the suppressor mount you know you'll want. Papers for an Optimus? YES, PLEASE!

My all purpose rig: hunting, targets, defense, etc, which wouldn't have been possible without WEVO. 18" Rainier Match SPR barrel in 1:8 .223 Wylde, 17.5" Parallax Tactical rail, Harris Bipod, Innovative Arms WAR upper, and 5.56 suppressor, OIF lower, Geiselle SSA-E, Magpul furniture (and the ladder rail covers were extremely necessary on the rail; the grooves were razor sharp), Vortex 2.5-10x32. Using 77gr Sierra TMKs over 23.0gr RE15 @ 2.62"

Armaspec. Not sure if I'm keeping it on there. Got is as a sample. It feels nice for guys who shoot with their hands on the magwell, but the plastic feels thin.

Been wanting a 10.5 forged gen 1 combo with quads for awhile. Really dig the classic styling.

Explode? Like if an overcharged round explodes in the chamber or an out of battery discharge occurs, the force directed downwards through the mag-well will usually destroy/eject the magazine and blow out the mag well. If your hand is on the mag well when this happens....it wouldn't be pretty. Of course, the upper doesn't come out unscathed and I would replace the barrel as well, but most accessories are still in tact.

Now that the B5 stock has reached market saturation, the LMT stock is ~$130-150. Still too much when the B5 is readily available. To me, this is a brilliant move by B5. "Hey, we have an approved, issued, contracted MILSPEC stock system already paid for by .mil, why don't we sell them to the public at a reduced price?" Cha-ching. Meanwhile LMT is still reveling in its contract blissfulness, very slowly acknowledging their stock isn't worth what it used to be.

Hard to say no to industry pricing (not that i'd know what that looks like lol)! I looked and looked and couldn't find a new 6933 in stock. The 6933 i found was used (Police trade-in), but looked like it wasn't shot very often. It's old enough that it's got the "M4LE COLTS LAW ENFORCEMENT" roll mark on the left side and the "LAW ENFORCEMENT/GOVERNMENT USE ONLY" roll mark on the right side, but new enough that it's got the standard milspec FCG pins instead of the oversized Colt pins. I'm really looking forward to getting the stamp back on this one.

I have no direct experience with the new DD furniture. But aside from being fugly, I'm just not much of a fan of rubber overmolded grips ( Ergo, MOE+, etc.). The MIAD is my fav, with the standard MOE, MOE K2, and BCM not far behind. As for the stock, it might provide a decent cheek weld, but with that aggressive rubber overmoldeding, I suspect it'll excel at ripping beard hairs from my face as well.

The UBR just made the gun heavy, but balanced. It's slightly front heavy now, but manageable. Overall, an improvement, just because it's shorter and lighter.

I have never shot one of those, but as of right now I am seriously considering a pistol caliber SBR of some sort. It will be 9mm regardless of what kind of format that it winds up being. It could either be a 9mm AR or the Sig or who knows what other options I have. I think it would be a better choice for me than going for 300BO for a number of reasons.

Thanks. It's a YHM 1/2" riser. Initially this just made acquisition easier. Then I spent a good part of February and March running my MK12 (with a standard 1.5" mount) in a class, a competition, and a clinic, and that seemed to "cure" me of finding a repeatable, solid cheekweld to a normal 1.5"-ish optic. If I'm anything but prone, I find a ~1.6" to 1.7"-ish (ie 1/3 co-witness) to be the most comfortable.

Long story short, the riser may be coming off.

Put a lot of rounds down both today. Both ran 100%... forgot how loud a 7.5" 556 Barrel is. The Ballistic Advantage barrel is great for how short it is.

The ZEV Fulcrum Trigger is ridiculously fast. Reset, trigger pull... amazing. I need more.

That Fortis upper looks like it was made for that BAD PDW lower!!! Lines and fit look perfect! That Falkor rail with the suppressor under it looks great, too. Nice build!

That Battle Arms lower looks pretty good with the Fortis Upper.

I've been reluctant to SBR a BA lower, because of the lack of matching uppers I could use... but not bad!

Thanks guys. I really dig the fortis upper on the BAD. I think it looks better than BAD's upper, personally. I'm not convinced the Fortis upper is the best match for the Falkor rail in appearances though. May try a CMT upper this evening. I'll snap a pic if I do.

Here's the Falkor rail with the CMT upper. This upper matches up well on the BAD lower too, especially on the left side. Note the spade making a cameo.

Had a shoot this weekend with a friend in town, and my father, Jerry R, here at the house range. Got the chance to play with new NFA toys all around. Picked up the suppressor Friday.

First pic is friend's Wilson Combat 11.3" 6.8SPC upper with Griffon adapter for his Recce 7 (which was damn quiet with .223). He tastefully modded the Centurion panels to fit the Wilson Rail.

From what I understand, they took cap screws, he went and bought a bit that would countersink those seen, but same thread as what the rail required, then painted the replacement screws. Looks like it came that way, I had no idea it needed that kind of work. I love those CMR panels....
