Dang Hornady, what am I supposed to do with this? Compress even a light powder charge??

Not designed for a magazine. [BD]

Instant justification for that precision bolt, but I'd rather do the CM's.

In for some info
I was looking at those the other day as someone had them on sale for like 15 cents a pop I think?
Anyways what are they calling for the oal?

There is NO info on the box indicating minimum required OAL; just recommended barrel twist. I had to open it to find this out. I doubt I can return them :(

There is some load info in this thread, maybe it will help. https://forum.snipershide.com/forum/sniper%C2%92s-hide%C2%AE-armory-supply/sniper-s-hide-bolt-action-rifles/6420929-223-hornady-75gr-eld-match-better-than-175-smk-308

Looks like guys are feeding them by hand since they wont fit into an AR magazine. Sounds like accuracy is phenomenal though...

Cool, I haven’t gotten back to the bench lately been super busy and haven’t shot much this summer
Curious on your results.....[:D]
I have a small stash of 77gr noslers to play with for now

Thanks for the links.
Looks like 2.39” or 2.40” is the starting OAL; don’t think I’m up for single loading yet and my 223 bolt gun has a 1:9 twist; probably wouldn’t work. I know my rifle likes 73gr ELD-Ms so I’ll try to return them and trade for something else

I will take a rough stab in the dark and say out of a 16" barrel it will chrono around 2600 fps. Give or take some.
I would give myself 20 fps either way, probably down.

Out of a 24” barrel, Hornady had their factory 73gr ELDs at 2780fps
From my 16” suppressed rifle, it’s probably around 2650fps
A chrony is on my short list
