Thank you to the mods and admins for a arguably "normal" place to discuss guns and not get berated, or showered with doucheyness for a less than hyper experienced statement, or question. Thanks also for not being militant about getting off topic, posting in the wrong forum, or using incorrect terminology. Thanks for being welcoming to new guys shooting all sorts of rifles, spanning the economic ocean. Thanks for not, or at least resisting the urge to sermonize about life safety every time the opportunity crops up and thanks for taking the time to answer questions rather than regurgitate "Buy a Colt" over and over.

This is not in relation to posts anywhere else on the internet, but lastly thanks for keeping in mind that BAMF is in the eyes of the beholder, and/or the person who paid for their gun.

When I became a motorcyclist, I enjoyed an esprit de corps that automobile drivers don't and to this day, I still wave at other bikers. They "get it". The fact that we can't just enjoy shooting and get along as a cohesive group (gun owners) just helps those that hate us collectively and as a cohesive group (anti-gun lobby).

I think the gun community overall is immature and home grown. Even the old timers seem to become teenagers when it comes to both guns and gun rights. It will take time to grow up of it is given a chance.

I was looking at his Facebook page yesterday.

I admit for a guy I never met in person, his sudden death hit me. Like Former said, there was not one bad bone in that guy. He's still missed here.

I have to echo the OP this is by far my favorite firearms forum (and now the only one I visit). Not a lot of bickering, plenty of good Intel and advice and you're never made to feel like an idiot for asking questions. Plus having a degree in photography I love all the high class images on here. I damn glad to be apart of this!

I agree. Even though most of us never met him it's like we lost a brother in arms. When one of our own goes down we all feel it.

Awesome. I also miss Luis. Had a few conversations with him and the guy definitely had a hard life. His story and living arrangements were heartbreaking but he maintained a positive attitude. RIP Luis.
