I’m gonna be really wary about this one. Their AR9s are nothing but trouble (one of their corporate Chief Officers doesnt even use one during Saturday matches anymore they fail so often) and they’re gonna try to get mass produced MP5s running?

Heh... I bet this garbage.

Zenith and POF kind of have the low end MP5 market tied up and they still cost $1500+ My Zenith didn't even function until I replaced the extractor and ejector. Customer Service, non existent. Imagine PSA's CS.

The lowest end MP5 I'd buy is the Omega.

Not that I think PSA can make an MP5 clone worth a darn, but price isn't always indicative of quality. My mm23e is a perfect example. Expensive as hell, yet a piece of crap. [BD]

Supposedly they have teamed with PTR for the roller lock design but like you said....disaster. I’ll be watching and waiting (for failure)

One of the PSA reps said on arf that it has been an in-house project for a couple years and PTR is not involved, but he may not be high enough on the totem pole to know all the details.

I can easily chalk what I read up to rumor. Thanks for the info

I built an AR9 from a PSA lower and it runs like a champ. Haven’t had one failure to feed or failure to fire.

Really, you guys don't think PSA can match or beat the Pakistanis or Turks in quality?

A few years ago yes. Now. No.

If the overcooked TIG welds are any indication of ability and quality at that dump I'd request a EOD suit for initial testing. LOL Horrific looking.

Vast majority of their issues are in the upper components

Which is funny as a few places I've seen the MP5 posted, guys claiming they are welders are all over how bad the welds are.

If it's going to be a $600 mp5 which accepts hk/other parts it will be sold in pallets. Hell I'd buy one just to make fun of everyone who has an expensive mp5....

It won't be $600.

And from a company that doesn't even dimple their AR barrels for Gas blocks, I doubt the attention to detail will be there.

Well it can't be $1500 or else why buy it from them?

Guess we will see.

If they cost $800 and are sear ready, then I'll buy one to use as a beater and take the wear off my german mp5k-n.

If it runs.

HAHAHAHA!

Doubtful given their track record with ARs.

This is why I think the Omegas are a much better deal at the $1500-1600 range vs the Zenith. Better build and lower price.

This. Everyone is willing to throw money at it priced around 800 bucks, but totally willing to ignore the fact that they will be buying Palmetto State Armory‘s customer service and track record with issues, I just don’t get it

For almost 1/3rd HK price.... might be worth it...

I know a full auto is out of my range and could care less about a semi auto MP5. Like a 911 GT3 with a bug engine. Looks cool but blows where it counts.

I have always wanted one but The above 1000 dollar price for a repo , so at 800 I’m in and will deal with the issues when they arise
