After people kept associating PSA’s MP5 with them (I heard the rumor also) a counter went up on their site. The countdown ended and now we have:

This is good news. Competition for US made MP5s is just what we need. I could see this driving prices well below $800 a pop after production is in full swing and the initial demand and "newness" wears off. I've been pleased with the quality of my PTR91. My only question is "what took them so long?"

I don't see how an $1800 PTR is going to drive prices below $800.

Yeah, I didn't see the MSRP on those before I posted. I'm a little surprised by that price point. I don't think the market is going to support that.
