So, there I was, taking some shots last week.
Set the camera down to adjust the light and the rifle. Pick the camera back up to shoot, take a shot, check my exposure/composition, ect…. I notice the image the camera returned to me was about 30% lower than the image I was seeing in the view finder.

Try again, same thing and so on.

Took my D3200 to the camera shop to have them look at it. He confirms he’s getting the same thing.
We’re inspecting it, ect.
I finally get a shutter error so I had it back to the guy. He pops my lens off to have a look and see what’s going on and my mirror freaking falls out.
Not kidding. The damn thing just falls out.

Sold a few things and ordered a D610 this weekend. I’ve been wanting to jump to pull frame anyway so here was my chance I guess.

FWIW, my 3200 still functions using live view just fine however I HATE shooting that way.

Looking forward to trying the new body. Also need to now keep an eye out for more glass.

How old was the camera?

Did you contact Nikon about that? Not sure what the warranty is, I'm sure far expired, but the mirror falling out seems to indicate more than wear and tear.

Asked the camera store whatbthey thought it would run if I were to send it in. "Probably close to $400, I wouldn't bother."

Called another store they said they'd expect $200-250.

Both cases would be 6-8 weeks though.

Good luck, man. I sometimes entertain the idea of getting into a nicer camera, but I usually snap out of it pretty quickly. Besides, I have enough hobbies sucking cash out of my wallet!

Tubes are to amp guys what lenses are to photography guys. The thrill of finding a cache of NOS glass is probably pretty comparable to getting the ultimate lighting for a shot.

I have a D3200 also. Roughly the same age, and used frequently but I expect you have me beat in round count.
