Well since summer is here it's time to take a much needed trip.

Road trips are my favorite from of a vacay. We are heading to Chattanooga to see the spouses grandma since see can no longer travel like she once could. Any stops or sight that we just have to see let me know. I thought about stopping by CMT but didn't know if they actually have a store front or not. Will defiantly post some photos of the gorgous smokey mountains.

Well, since this is a gun fourm, how about Anniston, Alabama to the CMP store so you can hand pick an M1 Garand: http://thecmp.org/cmp_sales/cmp-stores/south-store/

If you're taking 20 and like motorcycles... Barber's Motorcycle Museum in Birmingham is a must see for any biker. They have race cars too. http://www.barbermuseum.org. A few miles up the road from there is the Space and Rocket Center in Huntsville. Your three-year old might enjoy it https://www.rocketcenter.com

Lots of things in Chattanooga and surrounding areas. Sevierville/Gatlinburg is a great family destination and only 90 minutes away. Bud's Gun Shop opened a store in Sevierville. Nice shop and they rent machineguns. Smoky Mountain Knifeworks is right next door.

If you find yourself with some free time on a weekday and would like to do some shooting send me a PM. I'm a member of CRC. http://www.chattanoogarifleclub.org

We will have to look into them. I've been to the aquarium there it was awesome when I was a kiddo so we are going there for sure.

+1 for Sevierville/Gatlinburg. We took a few vacations to that area when I was younger and some of my fondest memories were the Gatlinburg aquarium, the NASCAR go-kart tracks and the Apple Barn in Pigeon Forge, watching them make taffy at the Ole Smoky Candy Kitchen in Gatlinburg, and I thought I had died and gone to heaven when I walked into Smoky Mountain Knifeworks for the first time at 8 yrs old. That turned into the best day of the trip after I talked my parents into buying me my first pocket knife, and it quickly turned into the worst day of the trip when said pocket knife got confiscated 2 hours later after I sliced my thumb open.
