Jeff hooked me up on a great start to a 9mm. This probably won't go together as fast as I'd like but i'll keep this as a build progress thread.

Surprised you don't have the parts to throw together right now from the parts bin!

I like the idea behind his new 9mm lowers. Kept the features down to keep the price down.

Question:

Do CMT 9mm lowers mate up with their standard uppers or do they have a dedicated 9mm upper receiver for this?

I know it's a stupid question but in the picture it looks like a 5.56 ejection port.

Yes they have a 9mm upper with a smaller ejection port.

I don't particular like the 9mm AR platform...

I really don't have much of a parts bin. I seem to buy parts as I need them, and then rarely swap parts anymore.

If PSA comes in around 1k - 1200 it'll sell well. If they try to charge Zenith and POF money it'll be difficult. In the end I hope it runs.

POF and MKE are unavailable right now, so if they get these to market soon their only real competition is PTR.

I think the only competition is themselves. If they don't run or are spotty, these aren't like AR's. The average bubba won't know how to fix it.

I’ve wanted to do a shorty 9mil build forever.. They do look fun and the cheap price of 9mm

First range trip and function test. 150 rounds were flawless once I tightened set screws in the trigger (I didn't have them tight enough apparently).
