Just thought to share. I bought the Noveske QD End Plates from RA. I got them and they looked perfect. Nice shape, logo, and construction. I installed it on my Magpul lower and thought.. what a nice combination. Here are some pictures.

Now don't do what I did... get the detent spring caught on the end plate as shown in this picture. If this occurs, the end plate doesn't go flush and a heavy duty push button QD will not fit!

Yes i'm a idiot on the detent spring catching.

Any case it works very well. Very easy to perform smooth transition of the rifle from dominant to my weaker side. There is much to like about it.

Edit:
Fix my post to show my mistakes..

I've seen this reported elsewhere as well.

It looks to me like you have one of the "heavy duty" swivels there, and you may have better luck with the smaller version.

I'll have to look at my single point sling from BFG. That will determine if I have a problem.

Edit:
It works without problems. [:D]

A few things.

1. Contact the manufacturer before bringing issues public.

2. Use the smaller variant of the QD socket.

3. For all thats holy, flush up that end plate! Picture #3 is going to make me loose sleep tonight.

It looks like, from what I can see in pic #3, is that you haven't torqued down the end plate and it is causing the problem. Snug down the castle nut and try again.;)

That's what i was going to say, it looks like you can torque the castle nut more, maybe that will help with clearance.

It works now.. My mistake of the detent spring getting caught between the end plate and the lower. The heavy duty push button acceptable clearance.

The BFG single point sling uses a smaller variant of the push button QD and will with the end plate with a lot of clearance.

Just posting to state I fixed my statement. The person at fault is me for getting that darn detent spring caught twice when installing the end plate.

As usual, Noveske makes a killer product.

Also thank you everyone giving me suggestions. The castle plate was torque down tight, but the caught detent spring would let the end plate go flush.

Now that we've seen what it looks like when it's put on incorrectly, how about a couple of follow-up shots to show us how the plate mates up to the MPLA when things are done right? :)

Very much a fan of the new QD endplate, and of course, MS2 is a concept that speaks for itself. I just wish that it were possible to find a QD adapter that featured a small ring -- as opposed to a traditional sling strap slot -- for this application.

Is there anything like this presently on the market?

Nothing on the market yet. However, I have tried using the MS2 as pictured above (snap shackle connected onto the rear QD Sling Swivel) but always found that it twisted a bit too much and dug into my neck after a few hours. The MS2 really shines when used with an ASAP, however, I did not feel like removing the current DD QD Endplates I had on two of my lowers. What I did was go to Walmart, and pick up a set of two quick links (like the one shown here: http://www.lowes.com/lowes/lkn?action=productDetail&productId=147915-37672-881700&lpage=none) for ~$3 [I want to say they are 3/8", came in a two pack, rated to 150lbs I think]. I attach the quick link on the rear QD Swivel and attach the snap shackle onto the quick link. The sling is now oriented like it would be on an ASAP ring. I will say that even with the quick link, the ASAP is still a better option for the MS2.
