Fundraiser - Last Round

Hi all,

I thought this was over, but Rainier Arms generously donated a Gen 2 UltraMatch Barrel. This will definitely be the last round, as I'm starting to get tapped out myself from the holiday season. [:D] The winner will get their choice of any 5.56 Gen 2 UltraMatch Barrel Rainier offers. I'm sure if the winner wants a different caliber, Rainier would entertain a price difference makeup charge. The barrel will include a standard .800 Gas Block.

Wow.

This is something guys. UW let me know that Rainier graciously donated a killer barrel for this.. Just crazy the amount of support from you guys and now rainier. Big thanks to UW for talking with them and tell them a big thanks and happy holidays to those fellas.

You won’t regret this at all. I’ve got three Rainier Ultramatch barrels and have put four more into other rifles for friends. Worth it!

I totally missed this as I’ve been out of town for a week in the middle of taking care of a sick wife and four year old...somehow I didn’t get sick again this year but they both did.

Well on the site is says in .308 gen 2 is only for DPMS short frame. As I have the original larger DPMS size those are no-go for me.

Only 18" in stock right now is the SPR, which would probably make the most sense. Although I'm tempted to go 20" then replace my SPR barrel with a 16" when it's available again.

I'd expect about 50-60 fps extra out of the 20", but the 20" mod2 profile (with .800 gas block) weighs about the same as the 18" SPR profile and it's pretty much for bench shooting. I'm not sure how I feel about the .800 gas bock as I run SLR Sentry AGBs on just about everything anymore. With a 16" UM barrel and 20" UM in the same, an 18" wouldn't really serve much of a purpose. Or, if I get the UM SPR, then there is really no point in having either of the other two. That would probably be the most logical decision, but this is a hobby so "want" counts a lot, too.
