Hey guys, so I recently took my girlfriend out to shoot my AR15 for the first time and shes hooked. Now you know what comes next she wants to build one. She has it more inline of a recreational AR not a home defense or anything serious and now we're on to optics. She really likes my T2 but wants something a lot cheaper do you guys have any recommendations on a ~$300 MRDS, I had a PA MRDS at one point but that thing died after a few days of just sitting on my AR, just looking for something that will last without breaking her budget.

Humm..budget

Well if your wanting to buy something good, proven and affordable , you can find aimpoint pros barely used for 300’ish if you look hard..

Then there’s the vortex sparc AR - red dot, which is decent, glass is pretty clear, controls are good, the mount leaves a little to be desired.

Mepro Tru-Dot. Large window, built in mount, auto-off/instant-on.

I'm with MF'er on the aimpoint PRO. It's got a huge following, without the huge price. I'm not really sure what your budget is, It's a good workhorse RDS, in my opinion. Also, you can get a good deal on lightly used ones, and it comes with a mount, saving you another hundred or more.

Budget RDS I’ve have good luck with:

Vortex SPARCAR
Sig Romeo 5

You could always find a used PRO for $300
