Nice shot. I wonder what it is about those four words that is so difficult to understand for some people. "Shall not be infringed" is pretty self explanatory. But that basic right to keep and bear arms has been infringed upon time and time again, with certain people who seek to impose yet more infringements. Makes my head hurt.

Got some very rare trigger time with this CZ-452A that I customized several years ago. I only get to see her once or twice a year but she's my favorite .22LR I own. Not to mention being the most accurate I've ever shot. Same hole 10 shot groups at 40yd.

And yes, the mounts are a bit screwed up in the picture. I left it with my brother for 12 months and that happened somewhere along the line.

Nice. I've got a little HR pardner 20ga stashed away that I chopped down to 18.5" awhile back. I used a hacksaw and files to finish and then reblued the cut. Since it's a break action it feels too short to be legal!

Probably made from a HK USC (Civilian UMP). The conversion for the SL8 makes a G36. The base receivers are basically the same but have less "evil" features. They can easily be converted if you have the money.

I ordered one from Parker Mountain yesterday...but thanks for the offer man! I am a nightmare with a dremel on plastic...so I decided to just pay the $15 extra to have one that they did with a jig that would be perfect LOL.

Bronco75 how do you like that stock? Other than looks I have no issue with the factory stock. Just wondering if you have noticed any actual improvement.

My original thought was to do it because I wanted the metal backplate/hinge and it weighed less than the factory stock and that would help with the added weight of the full rail on the front. Then there was the Elcan aspect of it weighing in at 1.5lbs. However, if you look at the weight of a decent 1-6 with a QD mount...you are actually at the same weight as an Elcan...or pretty damn close.

The other drawback to the Masada stock is it does not lock up on the deflector like the factory stock. It does stay folded, so not a huge issue...but if you wanted to sling it folded, I don't think it would stay. I don't think you gain anything on the recoil impulse people complain about either...but I think most of those whiners have never shot a 762 gas gun before and think it will be like shooting a 556. The recoil is pretty tame on the SCAR as compared to an AR-10...at least with the factory brake on it...I have not yet replaced or shot the SCAR suppressed as of yet.

Is the Masada worth the extra money? Probably not...

That particular one is a Springfield Service Grade that I stumbled upon being sold by a private seller when I was stationed out in San Diego. I got it for $50 more than what CMP was charging and it turned out to be a WWII receiver with a correct barrel (1943). The rest are a mixture of parts, but I was happy to have found an actual WWII gun with a WWII barrel.

I'm not sure if it's the original barrel, but the dates make it seem like it's possible. I'm going off memory at the moment, but the receiver was something like a July-ish timeframe and the barrel is a November-ish, so it's possible, I just don't have any proof.

Yep, one of the lucky ones... service grade, 5-digit Inland... receiver and barrel could be original pairing, both Inland and dates align... might have spent some time in Bavaria or Austria based on some markings... still figuring out other parts. ME/TE is 1+/2+... all in all can't complain.

Stick, that looks like an "Urban Security Vehicle" I saw at an IACP Conference a few years back. Roof slides back and your choice of weapon rises on scissors. The rig I saw was tied to a laptop with a camera aiming device and joystick on the passenger side - badass. This one looks like you stand behind it. Older M249 configurations had a relatively thin barrel profile past the front sight post. The idea is to swap barrels during sustained fire, before they warp due to heat buildup.

UW, is the Atlantic Arms muzzle device threaded? It looks different than my AA full-size MP5 (which is not threaded, just the lugs).

The MKE is on a Form 4, so it'll be 6-9 months to play with that. The Atlantic was transferred as a pistol, so I've Form 1'ed it. Honestly, I probably won't get much trigger time with it until the Form 1 comes back only because I prefer shooting it with a stock.

The AA is their Omega line, they worked with HKparts.net to build a "better" MP5 clone. It does have threaded barrel.

I honestly bought the Omega on a whim. I was all ready to submit an order for another MKE, K version. I ran into the Atlantic Arms Omega on their site and then watched some of the videos on Youtube. So in the course of a couple of hours, I decided the extra cost on the Omega was worth it. So far I'm impressed. The finish is much better (well as better as it can on stamped sheet metal) on the Omega than on the MKE and the tolerances seem tighter.

I think SL8's are going in the 1800-2000 range, and yes depending on who does the work, it can cost a few grand and up for the conversion.

That's awesome, man. I can't wait to see that! And cost is a very limiting factor in branching out from the AR platform, especially if it's HKs (or clones) that you're after (like me). And with the relative scarcity of host weapons, poor quality knock-offs are bound to become more prolific. And i'd have a difficult time laying out that much hard earned cash for something some yokel is selling on armslist or gunbroker without actually handling it in person first.

I've been trying to get my hands on a Dakota Tactical D54R-N factory SBR for almost two years. It's like trying to find moon rocks. I placed a pre-order for a Brethren BA9 pistol (their "factory" line) that i plan to Form 1, which from what i've read is a pretty decent gun for not much more coin than the MKEs or Omegas that Atlantic sells. I am tempted by the Omega guns. I'm on the fence about picking up an HK SP5K, but only because i'd need to have it re-barreled to run a can, which isn't something i'm terribly excited about having to do to a brand new gun with a $2700 price tag.

That's basically my line of thinking on the SP5K. I want to say it's neutered state is due to import restrictions, 922(r) or some such nonsense. Future collectibility is a draw for the SP5K, however. But i like to shoot my guns.
