Bolt action talk for suppressing

Bored and have been kicking around the ideas in my head about doing a 300 blackout ar upper for an upcoming can..

But thinking I don’t have a good bolt action anymore..So a shorty blackout bolt action is looking appealing and fun..

So..who’s playing with a shorty bolt action 300 or other caliber?

Looking at a few chassis setups for the Howa mini action

A bolt action chambered in a cartridge that was designed to work within the constraints of an AR-15 seems a little counter productive, IMO. That said, it is "a thing", especially if you have a recoil-sensitive shooter in the household.

An 8" upper with a suppressor is fun, though, and the recoil impulse on the BO makes it quite comfy to shoot. More of a gentle push vs the snap of the 5.56

I really want an H&R Handi-Rifle in 300BLK. It's a single shot break action rifle with a threaded barrel. They are hard to find, and now go for a pretty penny. SBRing it would be pretty darn cool. CVA also makes the Scout V2, which is pretty similar. I should have picked up one last time I saw them in stock. That Howa looks pretty cool for a bolt action. So does the Ruger American Ranch.

I don't know if I'd do a 300... but I am working on that 12" bolt gun project in 308.

I would love a short barreled or “pistol” bolt action 300BLK.

The Pork Sword by black collar arms is a great idea (I would not buy a Mini Fix)

I know a guy building one with a R700 .223 Remington action, 10” medium Palma contour Preferred barrel w/ 1:5 twist for heavy heavies. He’s waiting on the 1913 SB brace:

I have seen those also.. their pretty proud of em..not sure I’d do one in 223 myself though

Brace , couple mags $150 ish

800 ish and then red dot or scope

Seems pretty do able and I have to agree, even if party pooper boiler doesn’t....[BD]... looks like a lot of fun..

It’s a 223 action barreled in 300BLK. Just like an AR15+bolt
