Was hoping this would get posted today, thanks! Looks like there's 10 variations, holds up to 13+1 rounds, has ported versions, as well as red dots. Thinking seriously about grabbing one via pre-order on Brownell's site.

I plan to get a basic one as well as one that accommodates a red dot. These will be nice as far as capacity goes.

Man, I love this but I'm a little bummed since I have something like 20 extra mags for my current Shields. My local LGS is pretty good about selling my old pistols, but they never want the mags!

Think I'll pass on this one. Have to get a little more life from my current setup before I can justify an upgrade. Good to see S&W is still innovating.

I find that mags are worth more to people online in the secondary market than trying to get money for them as an addition with a firearms deal. Those old Shield mags are still pricey new.

Interesting ... where would you recommend to list them? Is Armslist still viable?

Ended up purchasing a standard M&P Shield Plus.

Disappointed to see that the optics offerings all currently come with an optic from the factory. No option for just an RMR / Holosun cut. Also all the optics Pluses are the 4" barreled versions. Meh.

I'd be interested to see a magazine from the old vs new side by side, if you have an old Shield as well. Just curious how much wider the mags are ...
