Does anybody have a gas block dimple jig that they would be willing to loan me? I need a 0.625 diameter. And...are they easy to use?

Thanks!

I have one but it's .750. Its the SLR one. Really easy to use. You line up a set screw with the gas port and then drill on the opposite side. It's got flats on it to alleviate guesswork. If it's sitting flat you are squared up. The biggest thing is using a good drill bit. Also you want to know how far apart the holes are on your gas block. Different blocks have different spacing.

Nice to know that it is easy to do! I will break down and buy one if I need to but was hoping somebody may be able to help out. Don't plan on doing any more .625 builds so doesn't make sense to buy if I don't need to.

When I get home I will look at it and see if it might work. I'm not sure if it will.

When you drill though barrel material is very hard. Having a good drill and bit makes a huge difference.

A .750 will not work.

you can't just wrap .125 worth of electrical tape around the barrel? [:D]

I would suggest getting the .750 from BRD engineering and also purchasing his Dimple Jig Adapter Sleeve 0.625" ID x 0.750" OD.

He also has gas block pinning jigs, pins, drill bits, reamers as well. Reach out to him he is a good dude... I have pinned and dimpled 4 builds with his stuff, Works well.
