So, as I accumulate years, I?m discovering a taste for ?classic? things. Les Paul?s, muscle cars, etc. for guns, the 1911 was the start. Recently it occurred to me that I?d wanted one these since I was six years old, and since I?m not getting any younger, I?d better correct that deficit. This strong pull/ urge also intersected with the recent fad of acquiring things, articulately firearms made in your birth year.

This gun checked a lot of boxes, including that birth year thing, and admittedly it looks better than I do for the same age. The only con with this gun is it?s a ?Post-?64? example, missing that mark of desirability by two years, but when this 1965 Winchester ?94 popped up in my window shopping, I didn?t hesitate. Meet my 60th birthday present to myself. Please forgive the excessive use of leather; the gun is indeed mint everywhere, I?ve just liked that look forever.

Tom? Jerry?, as fellow seasoned members, I?m gonna be real upset if you two don?t have at least one lever gun.

Got a couple, a Henry 45 Colt I bought with the intention of using in deep brush and trees where shots come close and fast, for deer and a Marlin 30-30 which my son has had possession of so long (borrowed) that legally I'm not sure I have legal rights to it. [bash][:D]

I want another '94. This one will be a pre-'64 in .44 mag so I can pair it with a Colt Frontier SAA.
