My DD M4 carbine is almost complete.

Tacticool carpet was unintentional, and my lousy point and shoot was all I had on hand.

NOT lousy pics, and definitely a sweet unit. The light looks a little far from the VFG, is it a momentary switch or click on and leave it on light?

Yeah it's too far away for now, I'm going to work that out at the range tomorrow. I't momentary for now but it will be click soon.

Nice setup with that carbine. If you turn off the flash, you might like the results better with the picture as you shouldn't have the glare.

I shot those in a dark basement with a dying Canon S400 (it has the purple fringing disease).

I'll get some more with the Canon 1DMKII and a good lens soon.

You, Grant, and Gotm4 had a lot of influenece with with the setup.

I need to do some fine tuning positioning the grips et al tomorrow at the range.

Then I need to figure out how to line up my fake eotech magnifier behind the C3, get an ambi selector and find the right rail mounted qd sling attachment the CQD didn't work out.

I've always had a fondness towards the 1DmkII and 1DSmkII, and have debated picking up one as a second body. I like the 1DmkIIN, but I don't see it as being $800 or so better than the 1DmkII.

I just had to send in my primary body to Canon along with my 100-400, I'm hoping the price and time isn't obscene, I've got work that needs to be shot.

What was it about the CQD that didn't work out for you?

OK how did you figure that out?

Actually I'm a righty shooting wrong handed. [:D]

The Snap lock jaw hangs on the CQD and it opens it's self. :(

I used to shoot Nikons but I had the metering go out on 2 D2H's after about 6 mths so I sold em and almost all my Nikon Glass just before Nikon cut the bottom out of the D2H market.

The 1DMKII went back once but they turned it around in about 3 days.

I'm thinking about a Full Frame Canon one of these days.

When I use a Magpul Sling, I use it as shown below, and have no problems.

I'm hoping CPS perks come into play, and that I get it back quickly. The lens I can do without for awhile, but I need the FF body and its massive resolution.

Thanks I'll give that orientation a try.

CPS did right by me. I understand that if I send the S400 back they will give me a new one.

Ya gotta love a 1DMKII for what it was designed for.
