The kit will retail for $14.95 and we should have them available first of the week.

So if you have a GEN I SOPMOD ( or several like me :P ) and you would like the ability to use a heavy duty push button swivel,
this is the ticket! Installation is quick, simple, clean, and best of all won't break the bank.

Product has been added to our website. Here is a link for reference (http://www.gearsector.com/view/product/164/description/).

Awesome! That is great! I will probably snag a couple for my SOPMODs on various rifles and I would love to have a kit to try a mod on an AK forearm...

The only reason I am offering this kit is because I wanted a clean, cost effective way to outfit all of my own SOPMODs. You could easily purchase all the components required off the shelf, however, the cost involved would be greater than the kit price I have put together. Since I have purchased all the components in bulk, I can pass the savings on to you guys.

For your AK forearm, you may need to source a different length machine screw as the one included is sized specifically to clear the boss on the SOPMOD stock ( .75 long ) and seat flush on the opposing side. But it should be doable.

Very cool solution for folks who run the sling to the rear of the stock.

We have a lot of these stocks in the arms room and most of us mount the sling via field-expedient methods (grenade ring, type III, etc.) to the hole forward of the latch.

Will the Chicago screw fit inside the space provided or is the screw long enough to pass through the stock?

If so this would be a great solution for many of us in my unit.

Both. [:D]

The screw passes through the stock and meets flush to the outside of the
Chicago screw. The post on the Chicago screw is drawn into the boss on the
stock during installation providing a tight flush fit there as well.

Put me down for one, the adapter that I am using tends to pop loose, which means I can't use it. This looks like a better beast by far.

Arrived a couple days ago, and this is really one of those things where you wonder why it hasn't been done already. I'll get some pictures up in a bit.
