Hey guys:
In my desire to build an AT&T AR (reach out and touch someone ya know), I've gotten to pondering going .308/7.62 as opposed to .223/5.56. However, I'm being stymied at finding suppliers for good uppers, barrels, bolts, etc. I know I want to use an Iron Ridge lower (DPMS patterned, so it can use the Magpul .308 Pmags), but I'm having trouble finding the rest of the stuff to go into the build.

Any help?

Adam,

I took the easy way out and went all DPMS until I needed the rail, grip, stock, scope rings, gas block, etc. If you want a DPMS upper, I have a guy that sells them and can send you a message with his info.

How are their barrels? Any other good .308/7.62 barrel makers out there I ought to look into?

I will be firing mine at the end of this month or early August. For barrel quality, there are not that many .308 barrel manufacturers for AR platforms--maybe the big ones: Knight's Armament, Armalite, DPMS---don't know if they get their barrels from the same maker or not.
