It seems to me that I remember seeing the Bobro Aimpoint M4 mount with a cantilever spacer. Is this spacer available for purchase somewhere?

Thanks,
Matt

I know that the Comp M3 version had a cantilever spacer, but I wasn't aware of a Comp M4 cantilever. Anyone else have better info? If its out there, I would like to see it as well.

Thanks Stickman. The picture that I saw is on G&R Tactical.

I would like to run the Bobro mount on my M4S with a magnifier in LaRue mount. I have a Troy BUIS. Does anyone know if this set up will 1) line up correctly and 2) fit on the upper receiver rail with having to cantilever the M4S forward?

Thanks for your help!

I have that exact set up. Troy front and rear BUIS with the Aimpoint M4s on the Bobro mount and QRP spacer. In order for it to line up properly with the Magnifier, you will need the Larue SHORT Magnifier mount. For all intensive purposes, the M4s with Bobro mount and QRP pretty much lines up with your irons. (Technically, it sits up approximately .17" higher than the iron sites so it isn't an absolute co-witness, but close enough.).
Also, with the M4s, you will need 1 extrat rail space between the magnifier and M4s because the battery compartment of the M4s gets in the way. I have the LMT MRP so it isn't a big deal, but if I had a standard upper, I would have to open up the E-Mod stock to the 2nd or 3rd notch. I'll update this with a picture later on.

Perfect! Thanks for your time Paul.

Here is a picture of it before with the Tall Larue Mounts. I hated it.

What I was sighting in :P

All kidding aside seriously, the LaRue & Bobro mounts were both tough, well made, and each had their strong points. Stick is correct, the one you are thinking of is for a M3.

I am still field testing both tough job with either mounts plus the original Aimpoint spacer, I did'nt have any problems lining up.

I asked Andrew Bobro if a mount was being designed for the Aimpoint magnifier, it's in the works.

So the M4s will work with the Bobro mount as is, but needs the spacer to work with the factory Aimpoint mount?
Thanks.

The Bobro mount and the Aimpoint factory mount both need the Aimpoint factory spacer.

Yes, that is the cantilever spacer for the Ms/M4s.

First time poster, Great forum btw.

I'm planning on buying an M4 or M4s soon and am trying to figure out a mount situation as I want to mount a magnifier also.

It seems that I will need to use this cantilever spacer but I can't seem to find it sold anywhere. All the links that people have posted to it are dead, and a google search yields nothing. Can someone please tell me where I can get this cantilever spacer?

Also what mount do can I use this spacer with? is it only for use with the Bobro mount like how Paulosantos has it set up? or can it be used with other mounts?

I'd like to maintain an absolute cowitness, is that possible with that cantilever spacer and any compatible mount?

What magnifier mount would I want to use to get full cowitness with the cantilever mounted M4?

I appreciate the help!

I just found this GG&G Mount,
http://www.gggaz.com/index.php?id=215&parents=69,70
does anyone know anything about it? GG&G is reputable from what I understand so thought it might be a good mount that would do absolute cowitness, and cantilever forward for magnifier mount like I want.
