dammit! I wish I had one for my Afghan build, do you think that would clear a 10" Lite rail?

Stick, sorry for the random question, on the AAC suppressor, is that the older 'scarmor' finish, or has it just turned that matte color from use?

You can't recess a switchblock inside a rail and have it function as there is no way to adjust it. To answer your question, I'm not sure if there is enough room to slide it over or not (which is what I think you were asking).

I would guess its the older finish, I'm not 100% certain.

I'm wondering if the switch will stick out past my 10" Lite rail like the Vltor gasblock. I definitely don't want it recessed.

Stickman,

what are the benefits vs disadvantages between this and the regular switchblock?

I'm obviously not Stick but the biggest advantage is that you can buy this part "standalone" but the regular version has to come attached to a barrel.

I don't think it would stick out enough.

Same answer I would have given. [:)]

Would there be any problems with it slipping (so long as it's tightened down correctly) or anything else?

Not if properly installed and with rocksett for insurance.

I'll be Rocksetting the screws on mine and drilling and pinning it with a 1/8" pin.
