Overall 1st impression, a well built 6.8mm upper, the finish was compared with my Colt 6920 and I was impressed with the workmanship, Thanks Harrison.

Thats a very nice looking build!

AR Performance has a rep for making some very accurate uppers based on what I've seen on 68forums

I was on the fence for a long time with regards to the 6.8mm caliber. I had looked at every 6.8 makers out there and was following the tech side of it as well. I noticed a movement in different specs coming from what I considered people with good knowledge in this field.

I have a good friend who shoots this caliber and reloads, so after shooting his upper and studying up who did what, it didn't take long to look at AR Performance. After I get back on my feet and get to the range, I'll post my results from the range.

16" lightweight "recon" profile, DMR-combat chamber, 5R rifling, 11.25 twist, parkerized black, gas port drilled, muzzle threaded 5/8-24,

top barrel is the "XT" .700 under the guard and .600 from the gas block to muzzle.
lower barrel is the "Recon" .760 under the guard and .600 from the gas block to the muzzle.

For those who were interested in the bbl dimensions, I took this from the AR Performance website.
