The first step in the handling of any weapon, you should verify its loaded or unloaded status. Before starting the installation of the Magpul B.A.D. Lever, ensure that the magazine has been removed, and that there is no round in the chamber. This installation is written to provide guidance to persons competent in working with firearms. As always, the end user accepts all responsibility for what they do with their weapon. If in doubt, take this component to someone who is competent.
With the above out of the way, this is one of the simplest installations that can be done on an AR15.
-------------------------------------------------------------------
STEP ONE:
Remove the upper and lower receiver, and set the upper aside. We are only working with the lower receiver for this. Ensure that you have all four pieces shown below (plus your lower).

STEP TWO:
Find the backplate, which is the smallpiece which locks into the "L" shaped B.A.D. Lever.
Take the backplate, and place it underneath the bolt catch as shown in the below image.
Note that this will only install one way, and the screw threads will be showing to the right.

STEP THREE:
Take the Magpul B.A.D. Lever, and place it over the bolt catch. Make sure that it lines up with the screw hole in the backplate.

STEP FOUR
Using the included T8 Torx Wrench, insert the screw, and tighten it snugly. The T8 screw comes with a thread locking solution already on the threads to prevent it from coming loose. Do NOT over tighten these pieces.
Note that there may be some side to side play, this is normal play of the bolt catch itself.

The last step is the same as it would be with any item installed on a weapon. Complete your basic function check (US Army TM 9-1005-319-23), and work dry fire to get used to the manipulation of the newly installed part.
Below is the installed component on a complete weapon.
