I am new to the AR world so accessories are tough to make a decision on since I dont know which company is good, reliable so on and so forth...etc. Anyway my question is which discreet rifle case do yall prefer?

I am looking at the Blackhawk or Tac Force

Thanks in advance for your opinions and insight.

You didn't state a price, or what you're trying to put in it, but if I were buying today I'd buy a One Source Sneaky Bag (http://www.onesourcetactical.com/index.asp?PageAction=VIEWPROD&ProdID=1641)

An alternate would be the Eagle LE Division Discreet Case (http://eagleindustries.com/product.php?productid=696&cat=72&page=1) of which I own and use regularly an old version of but in blue.

Which brings me to a side point which is that all the "discreet" shaping and vague outlines in the world don't help when the bag id desert tan, black, or god forbid multicam.

Thanks for your reply. I will be putting a LWRC M6A3 in it. Probably carry some extra mags and maybe a pistol. But I can use a range bag for my handguns. My dilema is should I get a double rifle case so I can put my 22-250 in there as well or get different cases for both weapons???

Thank you

What kind of additional storage does that One Source bag have. Can't really tell from the photos or description.

It's not intended as luggage. It's a bag with a little bit of storage on the outside.

Just posted in this thread (http://www.weaponevolution.com/forum/showthread.php?t=1435) too.

The CavArms Discreet Rifle Bag (http://www.cavalryarms.com/DRB.html) is designed to fit up to a 20" broken down AR. I have a blue one for my trunk gun with a matching blue Mini-Sneaky active shooter bag. I've shown it to several people and none of them thought "gun" or "rifle" when they saw it, and instead thought it was a folding chair bag, camera gear bag, or soft cooler.

I also use YHM EZ-Takedown pins on all of my ARs, use a single point sling on my trunk gun in the bag to prevent a tangled mess while deploying, use a 20 round magazine loaded in the lower, and practice assembling/deploying from the bag.

I'm primarily just thinking a few extras like a couple of mags and maybe a backup bolt. Not much else. Thanks for the link. That showed me exactly what I needed to know. Looks like a good option.

I use guitar bags, Soft"gig" bags are very discrete. I have one in a Tie-Dy pattern that no one would ever guess holds an AR-15 and mags. They have backpack style straps and a side handle. Most have a side pouch that holds 4 to 6 mags with no problem. The only down side is some times I get asked to play. Also AK pistol will fit in a violin case.

I agree with Max. I've got storm cases, eagle cases and a larue covert rifle case (which I really like!) but the case I use the most is a yamaha guitar kit bag.
It's well padded, says yamaha on the outside and was on sale when I bought it. Paid 23.00.

No one's ever made it, you don't have to break down the weapon like the covert larue bag and the price was right.

I've had my i-Shot SERT Discrete carrier for a few years now and generally load it down with stuff. It currently holds my FA converted SP1 which has an LWRC M6A1 10.5" upper, Ceiner conversion kit (FA), .22LR ammo, YHM SS Phantom can, and 4 Blackdog 25-round magazines.

It weighs about 25-pounds and yet holds up quite nicely. I have the 30-inch bag which is just the right length for an SBR.

i-Shot SERT Carbine/Rifle Case (http://www.ishot-inc.com/store2/product_info.php?cPath=21&products_id=28)

FWIW, I use a Wilson Tennis Racket case for my "Trunk Rifle" which is a 12.7" LWRC M6A3 attached to a lower I built.

I have a Condor Micro-drag bag as my discreet case as it will fit an FS2000 or a 16" AR carbine broken down but my new favorite 'sheeple friendly' bag is one of those Voodoo field hockey bags mentioned on another thread in this forum...

I like the Cover Rifle Bag from Sneaky Bags, 3 sizes, from compact ak/ar to full length rifles. The insides are slick so you can slide the rifle in and out with any snags. the best part is the out pocket can hold my Mini rifle fighting bag for a complete kit. Ready to go and Does not scream gun. check it out. http://www.sneakybags.com/categories/Covert-Rifle-Bags/

I have a TAC-FORCE for my 18" AR. I really think it's well built. I'm going to get a 30" bag for my SBR soon.

I would really love to throw some money at Tactical Tailor for a bag, but I noticed one thing about their offering that I don't like. From the pictures I have seen, the compartments for holding magazines look like they are just flaps of material that are sewn into the outer pocket, instead of being what looks almost like actual mag pouches with covers, which are what most of the other bags offer. It appears that the mags are only held in place by zipping the outer pocket closed. This may be splitting hairs, and I am sure most other people would say that this is not a big deal at all, but it seems kinda corner-cutting to me. This may also be part of why their bag is about $40 less than comparable products from Larue, Blackhawk or Eagle. I would love to try their products based on reputation alone, but I really wish they would make some nicer storage pockets in their bag.
