I can buy 1000 rounds of PRVI Partisan 69gr BTHP for $465 plus shipping. Should I buy this ammo for my LWRC M6A3

I was also thinking of buying 1000 rounds of the PRVI 62gr FMJ for range shooting.

Should I buy both or stick with the 69gr and find some M855 if I can or some 75gr BTHP ammo for hunting?

Thanks

Does anyone like the SSA 77gr OTM ammo or the 63gr sierra soft point?

I shoot the 75 grain match and 62 grain loads in my 3 gun competition uppers

I dont reload, so for me its fairly accurate ammo without costing me as much as 1K rounds of 75 grain BH match. (over 700).

I shoot both the 69grn and the 75grn PRVI and it has yet to let me down. I just ordered 1k rnds of PRVI M855 so we'll see how that shoots! I have a M6A2 so I can tell you that a LWRCI gun will definitely shoot any of the above ammo selections accurately.

Nothing but good things to say about the 55gr and 62gr stuff I'd assume the higher grains would be similar in quality

I've ran half a case of 55gr - it works.
The 75gr through my SPR and M4 both shoot better than I can without bags. Unbeatable for the price, unless you're reloading with some practice and data for what works best.

I may have to look into getting some of the 62gr stuff. I am using pmc 55gr right now but my duty ammo is federal 62gr tactical bonded, i would like to stay 62gr all the way around.

I picked up 500 rounds of Lake City M855 SS109 62 gr at a gun show last weekend for $215. I hear good things about Lake City and at .42 cents a round you can't beat it. Im just kicking myself for not getting the 1000 round case for $420. I'm also looking for some good match ammo. What would you all recommend? SSA 77gr? Hornady 75gr TAP? Prvi 69gr BTHP? I hope to find some 75gr Prvi BTHP if I can. If anyone has any good sites to look for good ammo please send them my way and thank you for all your feedback. Much appreciated gentlemen.

That's a good price for Privi these days - I'd hit it (especially if my barrel had a 1: 7 or 1: 8 twist - I might hold off on a 1: 9 twist rifle, though).

I'm running 75gr HPBT PRVI though my 1:8 SPR and 1:7 14.5" - they are both outshooting me prone unsupported (1.5MOA, but I doubt I'm doing my part)
Ballistically it's really close to the 75gr HP Hornady TAP FPD, so that's my primary reason for running it, but I'm confident that when I get to stretch its legs it won't disappoint.

Two types of Prvi, white box ammo is crimped at the case mouth, allowing excellent feeding and cycling. The blue box prvi is not crimped and sometimes can have the rounds pushed back into the casing causing malfunctions or very high pressure levels. I've run at least 10K white box to without issue, the blue box had issues in two of my LMT's.

I own a M6A3 and have shot all of the PRIV ammo. It's good to go.

My local gun shop that I like has 26 boxes of the 75 gr and 20 boxes of the 69 gr both HPBT and they are in the white and green boxes. I'm assuming you are talking about the white and green boxes when you say "white box" right? I think I'm going to go scoop up all their Prvi ammo listed above because they are selling it for $12 a box. Can't find a better price anywhere. They also have some Blackhills 75gr match king ammo for $35 for a box of 50 cartridges. Do you or anyone like the Blackhills ammo?

Stock up on Prvi while you can. The factory blew up last week, 7 dead, scores injured.

The incident on 6 SEP 2009 is anticipated to delay operations by only a few weeks.

Thanks for that article. I hadn't read the part that no machinery was damaged.
