Noveske barrels

I am thinking of upgradeing to a Noveske, i just had a question about the different barrels, the stainless vs the 249 barrels. IMO the 249 barrel sounds like the better barrel, however there are more offerings in the stainless. im prety much decided on a Noveske rifle in a 16" or 18" barrel length just was wondering what the difference in barrel construction was, and how it affects performance.
