I'm thinking getting a vertical grip and narrowed it down to these 3 for now unless someone or something changes my mind.

Larue FUG

Bopro dont know which one...standard or shorty

I looked at several before purchasing the TangoDown QD model.
Priced a little less than the Larue.
I could not see myself switching between a full and a shorty all that often.
TD locks up solid.
I am happy with it so far.

I use the FUG, and with the interchangeable screw on caps, its like "3 vert grips in one".

My friend runs a shorty Bobro, and it is nice!

I just got done using the ADM/TangoDown QD-lever shorty grip in a Pat Rogers Basic Carbine Course this weekend and I can honestly say it was a solid reference point on my rifle during all drills.

I like the Gripod LE Model because it is both a grip and a bipod.

I use TangoDown QD type standard & shory size vertical grips both now. They are very solid, durable and could be adjusted by the screw, good match to every situation.

I also used the shorty BoBro grip from my friend, it's with a special assemble way, pretty nice.

I'm looking forward to LaRue FUG now. Just like HMFIC sir mentioned, it's a "3 vert grips in one". I like the middle size, it looks balance to a 9" handguard with standard size stock, like CTR or ACS...

I'm with HMFIC, I like the FUG. Having the option of three different lengths all in one along with a QD capability. With mine anyways I use it more as a handstop than a VFG. Larue is quality stuff.

No one asked you how you shoot, and what your hand placement is when you use a VFG.... You may need a longer grip, you may need a shorter one, or you may be better served with a handstop.

Without knowing your hand size, and how you shoot, there are a few different thickness VFG which may suit you better.

The comfort and feel is what I think is most important. Out of the three i've tried, Tango Down, Y/H/M and Laure's FUG. I like the FUG best, its solid lock up and a choice of three length/styles in one to chose from sold me. JMTCW [adore] Patriot

The size differences between the 2 are approximately 1/2. The locking devices are solid on both and are easy to mount and remove. When mounted on the DD rails, firm and solid lock-no movements. Both grips are GTG-offering a solid feel & hold, they drive the rifle well when doing CQB type drills-quick snap shots at multiple targets etc. As for pricing, both are moderately priced, $75-85.00. I hope this helps.

One minor detail to add: the ADM/TangoDown shorty QD lever can be also reversed to the other side of the gun, and the lever can be reversed to face the stock direction vice the barrel by simply compressing the locking mechanism and rotating the lever. I have the Bobro shorty too and both are excellent grips--the Bobro is very light in comparison, so if weight is a factor--consider it.
