I need to attach a 6P or similar light on my AR. It has the MOE hand guards, and I like the light at the 11 or 2 position.. Pics or product suggestions please.

IMHO carbine-length handguards are too short for light mounting, especially the 6P. Instead, I'd use a Midwest Industries FSB mount (http://www.midwestindustriesinc.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=category.display&category_id=94) and a Vltor Scout mount (http://vltor.com/vltor-mountables.htm).

Gotta agree w/ Rob on this one, I tried to use rails on my moe and it just didn't seem to work well for me. A FSB mount is the way to go.

Are there any issues of heat affecting a light that is mounted to the front sight?
