Hello all, I posted this because I have a ton of questions and do not know where to start, but here is the Skinny, basically my love of the AR platform and fire system mechanics in general have had me thinking about making a career change since i spend most of my time on my day job researching, buying, or educating myself on firearms. My question to yall is there any official accredited "gunsmith" Schools or has anyone heard of any internships with manufactures available? Like many of you, I'm the guy most of my friends come to, to assemble their rifles or fix problems I just want to see if there are any options out there to start me on what I hope to be a new career, Thanks in advance to all who respond !

Google "AR15 Armorer School" and check out the Colt Armorer Schools.

This school is not too far from me. I dropped in once to have them check the headspacing on my 98k Mauser. It might be worth looking into if going back to school fulltime is what you're after.
