Hey guys new here but not 2 new to the AR world and my daughter who will be turning 12 soon and was alittle reluctant to shoot one of mine but finaly deciced to give it a try and now she is about to shoot me out of house and home! So shes been worrying me for the last few months to build here one for Christmas. Ive got enough parts to build about 80% of it but im trying to locate an economy barrel. I cant drop a ton of money on it, any ideas ? Thanks guys . R.K.

How much are you looking to spend and what kind of barrel are you looking for? Chrome lined or Stainless Steel? The barrel is one of the most important things, so I wouldn't skimp too much on it. You should be able to get a decent one for under $300.

- $169.95

I thought Rainier had a good deal on a Yankee Hill barrel (http://www.rainierarms.com/?page=shop/detail&product_id=1505 - $195), but you have posted the lowest priced barrel I have found (quality first). I can't believe Bravo has a DD barrel for so cheap, but then again it is a special CLOSE OUT sale.

Sorry for just getting back guys, I posted this thread late last night and wound up getting caught up in something else and didnt get to check back, but paulosantos, the $169 is right up my alley! I dont want to spend a ton on it right now but I still want a nice little light weight AR for her. Thanks for the quick response Ive lurked here for awhile and Im glad Ive joined. Hopefully Ill be able to make a contribution around here. [:)]
