Optics: How do ER & EP affect FOV?

Can someone explain how an optics field of view are affected by eye relief, exit pupil, and objective diameter?

Generally, the smaller the objective, the wider the field of view, but I'm no expert. You will have a better explanation if you go to Snipers Hide as there are knowledgeable guys there.
