Thought you guys might like to see alittle machine work going on. Started life as a Colt w/ a cracked handle. Instead of milling it off I just rough cut it on the Bandsaw then took it to the Mill.

Very nice Machining. Did you bead blast that upper? if so, what are your plans for refinishing that upper?

In the last pic, there is an upper on the bench to the right, was this an earlier attempt or a diffrent project?

Yes I did blast the finish off w/ aluminum oxide , gives a nice substrate for Norrells moly to bite 2 , which is what Ill be using hopefully next week on it.

And the other upper you see is another project Im working on but it keeps getting set wayyyyy on the back burner. It also had a carry handle when I started but I milled the entire part off. Ill post some pix of it sometime. R.K.

By the way, does anyone know someone who sells like a kit for the rear site w/ all the parts? When I got this upper it was completly striped. Ive seen places that has and exploded view of what I need but its aggrevating (or to me atleast it is ) making sure Ive ordered every little part, when I could just buy it in a kit. Or if someone knows of someone who would like to sell these parts I would be greatful. Thanks R.K.
