I recently bought a pair of Magpul B.A.D (Battery Assist Device) levers and had the opportunity to install them today.

The first one went on my Bushmaster CQB carbine.
Install took only minutes and after a function check, I declared it good. [:)]

The next one was installed on my SPR (M&P15 lower and LaRue 'Stealth' upper). Install went smoothly, but after a function check, it appears that the backing plate on the bolt catch was interfering with the LaRue upper housing. :(

Apparently, LaRue puts a little more 'meat' in their uppers and the tolerences are tighter than they were in my Bushie.

Anyone else had a problem installing a Magpul B.A.D on their weapons?

There are several guys on here and other sites with the same problems. It is an issue with uppers that are different such as the Billet uppers.

See the thread on the Phase 5 Tactical EBRv2 (http://www.weaponevolution.com/forum/showthread.php?t=1769&highlight=phase)--solves the problem on the Sun Devil billet upper (more meat there too). The EBRv2 is an integrated replacement for the standard bolt catch/release paddle and is not as wide as the B.A.D. is where thickness counts.
