So I'm almost done with my first AR build that I plan on using for recreational purposes and have the following parts which more or less make up the complete back end.

Mega Matched Billet Upper and Lower Receivers
Magpul Front and Rear MBUS
Magpul MIAD
Magpul ACS
BCM BCG
DPMS Lower kit

So I'm looking for opinions on a barrel (16+) and rail system. Was looking at the DD Hammer forged 16" (http://www.rainierarms.com/?page=shop/detail&product_id=1663) and the DD Lite 9.0 rail.

Have you thought about using a longer rail to protect/ cover the gasblock?
