OK here we go, the SHOT show Las Vegas 2010 is finally over and what a full exhausting week it was. The SHOT show is now at the Sand’s Convention Center next to the Venetian Hotel. In previous years the SHOT show was held at the Las Vegas Convention Center.
This year, I had the privilege to hook up not only with the Stickman himself but with the Milspec Monkey crew. I was in good company and learned through their artful eyes. Sadly my camera was missing in action due to a resourceful thief. So my week’s worth of pictures are gone. On the very bright side of things, I am humbled to have Stickman and Monkey offer up some pictures for me to publish here with their blessing.
My visit to the Magpul booth was filled with excitement. I got to see Travis and Chris from Magpul Dynamics. I had the chance to take a course with them and to see the “Dean & Jerry” Show again was great –for those who’ve been to their classes you know what I mean. On the OMG side was of course, friends of Magpul-the booth bunnies-booth bunny #2 from L/S is the girl in the posters. So I got the best from Magpul.
The products offered this year included a new training DVD from Magpul Dynamics-Art of the Dynamic Handgun & Aerial Platform Operations. The Milspec monkey crew will present a video soon, so watch for it here. A 30 & 20 rd mag for the 556/223 HK G36 is out. There is also a new 40 rd mag for the AR platform. An EMAG 30 rd maglevel is available for those with a HK 416, FN SCAR, Beretta ARX-160 and the British military SA-80(E for Export).
Magpul is releasing 12 new items for this year, the MOE RVG-rail vertical grip, MVG-MOE vertical grip, MOE hand guards-carbine/midlength/rifle, MOE polymer rail sections, and MOE illumination kit-mount a weapon light onto a MOE hand guard-this is also Surefire compatible. For those wanting a better selector switch, don’t feel left out, SSG selector set is designed for the FN SCAR Mk 16 and semi-auto 16S.
My buddies from milspec monkey were sporting around a new iPhone field case, I use Samsung so my bad. From the Dynamics side is a new sling the MS 3-multi mission sling. The MS 3 is used in conjunction with the ASAP and RSA-rail sling attachment-this is also new. I currently run the ASAP on 2 rifles and use the original MS sling.
At last there’s a new ride in town the Magpul Ronin., this is sweet and very cool. I met with Eric Burt one of the co-delevolpers of the Ronin and he is very proud of this new motorcycle. Althought I did not see the other new ride from Magpul, the "Death Buggy", I know this will attract alot of attention-look carefully at the wall of stuff and you can see it there-1st picture.
