ZT knives will be offering 4 new designs for this year, 3 folding pocket knives and 1 fixed blade. For those who know knives, ZT is gaining a lot of attention these days with their designs, quality and reputation for solid well made tools, and knives. For those looking for value and quality, ZT knives are excellent. On a side note those who are familiar with Kershaw knives, ZT is part of their company.

A very cool handling knife is the ZT-9; a Strider-ZT collaboration. The ZT-9 is a bayonet which will fit onto you rifles with the bayonet lug, (sorry California). I managed to pick up the display model at the booth and the handle on the knife was comfortable and slim with a nice grip to it.

The new folders are model # 0780, a smaller ZT knife with a black G 10 handle and S30V stainless blade with a non-reflective Tungsten DLC coating, 3 ˝ blade with an overall length of 8.12 inches. The knife weights in at 3.6 oz. The knife retails for $130.00.

My personal favorite is the new ZT0700 “extra wide tanto blade design”. This knife sports the speed assist feature found on other ZT knives. The ZT 0700 has a G-10 handle and S30V stainless blade, 3.375 inch blade, with an overall length of 8.125 inches. The knife weights in at 4.2 oz. The knife retails for $120.00

Another interesting looking blade is the model 0750 with its talon shaped blade, “the talon shaped blade is ideal for controlled pulling cuts. It excels in cutting rope, line, and webbing. SpeedSafe assisted opening equipped.” The blade is 3.5 inches with an overall length of 8.5 inches. The knife weights in at 4.4 oz. The knife retails for $130.00.

Lastly, the fixed blade, model # 0170, is 11.5 inch knife with a black G-10 handle and 14C28N non-reflective Tungsten DLC coated blade. The blade is 5.7 inches and weights in at 11 oz. The knife retails for $150.00.

On a TV trivial show question, if you happened to catch the TV show, “NCIS” 2 weeks ago where actor Robert Wagner guest starred on the show. At the end of the show, our 2 heroes, Agents Gibbs and DiNozzo were having a steak dinner, long and behold they cut their steaks with ZT knives. The ZT staffs were surprised and humbled by the guest appearance on the TV show.

I have two of their folders and I think that they are the best knives for the money!
