I ran across an article a week or so ago about the Army changing the design/material of the magazine spring for the M16/M4 rifle. I cant track it down. I thought I saw on Army Times or Stripes. Anyone else see it? Can you post a link?

Some info HERE (http://peosoldier.armylive.dodlive.mil/2009/12/14/armys-improved-magazine-increases-weapons-reliability-%E2%80%9Ctan-is-the-plan%E2%80%9D-for-the-new-magazine/) and HERE (http://www.stripes.com/article.asp?section=104&article=68177), but not specific to spring material.

They are incorporating a heavier/corrosion resistant spring and a tan anti-tilt follower. Kind of sounds like a SAW red spring and a Magpul follower. I get the XP spring part, but corrosion does not really seem to be a problem with current SS USGI springs.
