I think most of us here have appreciation for the earlier war machines made of wood and steel. I know I do.

Is that a replacement stock on the top one in your picture or did it come that way? I really like the pattern in the wood on that one. Seems very unusual if it's a factory stock.

That's a replacement stock that has a really nice tiger stripe pattern. I actually sold it to a guy who had TS rear and front handguards so he could have a set since that Garand was nothing special.
