PWS comp/hider

I was curious if anyone out there had any expieriance with the PWS FSC556? How well does it suppress the flash and does it actually work well as a comp?

Doesn't suppress as well as a BE Meyers but it's not too bad. My buddies called it the "Buddyf*cker" front end while on deployment. You definitely feel the blast.

Excellent Comp! As SDDuc996 put it, it is definitely a shock for those close to you. I took a Pat Rogers course last fall and three of us in a row on the firing line about 6-10ft apart all had the FSC556 and the guy in the middle (not me) caught noise and blast all weekend from both sides (other than that experience I have never shot in close proximity to someone else to notice). The FSC556 comp does help with indexing your gun to target for the follow-up shots as your barrel is less affected by recoil. There are some YouTube videos demonstrating this--also consider the Rainier XTC. I have one of those being installed at this time by my gunsmith--barrel needed to be threaded.

I have a FSC 556 - got it for 3 gun. It does a way better recoil job than the standard A2.

I hope to have my upper with XTC installed in about a week or so. I also have a carbine/pistol course at the end of the month, so I will probably take both rifles with me and I will have a chance to compare.the XTC to the FSC556--though I imagine they are very comparable.

I'm not trying to hijack this thread, but I'm also interested in the FSC556 versus the XTC as far as compensation and flash hiding capabilities.

I'm also looking at the VLTOR VC-1 (which I know tends to provide more flash hiding and less compensation), and a Black Weapons Armory comp:

BWA is a local store in AZ, and I was hoping someone on here might have used one at some point and could compare to another comp like the FSC556. Has anyone seen this BWA comp in action??

I have been very impressed with the PWS 556. It IS loud but it is outstanding at reducing felt recoil. Shot to shot recovery is outstanding and muzzle flame signature is minimal. However it is LOUD! Not sure if I said that.
