The M&P15-TS is something worth looking into - it's a 13" VTAC/TROY rail on a 14.5" 1:7CL barrel with permanent SEI Vortex...
All the pictures I've come across so far are the JP/VTAC handguard, 11" TROY/VTAC, or a 14.5" barrel.

Its a crappy picture, but here it is. 16.1" barrel with 13" TRX Extreme. I like the setup. I switched the brake for a SPR/M4 mount. The suppressor is about .5" from the rail when installed. Looks slick, but is very long like that

Its ridiculously light. Eventually I am going to swtich it to a midlength 16" Lightweight barrel to shed a few more ounces.
