Is there a difference between the 18T and the 51T aside from the mounting system (spring versus ratchet) and what are the pluses and cons of these mounting systems?

Putting aside the capability of adding a suppressor, do the 18T and 51T have any advantage over the original AAC Blackout?

I think the only difference is what can you want to put on it. If you don't plan on adding a can, I'd just go with the regular Blackout.

They are simply different mounts for different cans, they will not functional any differently aside from that.
