The APEX rails are a one piece tubular unit that allows for rails to be mounted in multiple positions. What makes the APEX stand out from similar designs is the "gator grip" machined into the lower portions. This texture feels good in the hands, though as an aluminum rail it obviously heats up at higher round counts.

Installation is covered in the below article, but it is as simple as cutting off the existing delta ring and removing the spring to expose the barrel nut. Two halves of a locking collar bolt together, and then the tube slides on and is bolted in place. Its a very easy unit to install. For someone looking to chop a FSB, the tube allows for plenty of clearance to slide over the top, meaning ultra low profile gas blocks aren't something you need to worry about.
