I've seen some pictures of the new Rainier Lower receivers, and whispers that the first batch will be primarily used on complete rifles...

I can't wait to see how these look.

I visited their new shop a week or so ago, and my understanding is that they are waiting on barrels to be completed.

WEVO will start testing of these weapons as soon as we can get our hands on an early model. I've spoken with John about the specs, and on paper, everything sounds good, but the final proof will lay in the total package in the way it functions.

More than a few of us have been looking forward to this for some time ... I suppose we can wait just a bit longer.

Just checked over at Rainier Arms, under New Products, and caught a look at the new RA lower receiver. RA continues to keep pumping out more and more products. Its good to see a business with such an excellent reputation and innovative ideas moving forward in a positive direction. The lower appears fairly standard:

Rainier Arms forged lower receiver is made from 7075 aluminum. The best anodizing dies are used for a deep black finish. Features a upper to lower tensioning screw and a flared out magwell for quick mag changes.

I like the Rainier Arms markings on the side and the Rainier logo on the front of the magwell, nice touch. Just curious Stick...I noticed the serial number on the pictured lower was RM00001....were you lucky enough to score the first one!?!

I don't have any Rainier Arms lower receivers, never mind any low digit ones.

Here are a few pictures of the billet upper, but its all I've got right now.

That billet upper has great lines! Rainier Arms is really pumping out good looking products. I hope they perform as good as they look! That being said it really seems that the market is saturated with plenty of billet uppers. I like the little variations that everyone continues to keep throwing into the mix. I'm kind of a traditionalist but I have seen a few things that weren't too out there. I really like the Rainier Arms lower and the Spikes lower which uses the buffer detent capture. There are some great ideas floating around. I can't wait to see some reviews on how well these new lowers, and billet uppers, perform on the range.

while it’s obviously not a ‘complete unit’ I was in attendance at the Rainier Arms Open House Event this past weekend [:D]
