I had a chance to handle (but not shoot..yet) BCM's EAG carbine. Without the accessories the rifle feels very light. It doesn't gain much weight as you add Pat Roger's picks for "must have" accessories. Add an optic, and you've got a pretty nice all purpose rig. The carbine isn't mine, but I hope to get a chance to shoot it. Anyone else have any trigger time on one of these yet?

Bravo, I like the postion of the light in that photo. You don't happen to know what light mount is on that carbine, by chance?

It is the VTAC light mount. The one thing that I would change on it is I would rather have the Noveske End plate instead of the Tangodown PR-4 rear sling mount.

Pat is a big advocate of the TD over the endplate mounts, for a variety of reasons, so it makes sense to have the PR4 on an EAG carbine.

I'd love to hear some of his reasons because I've used both and id prefer the Noveske hands down. The Noveske is much better for transitions for me, especially with a 1-point sling.

It's not bad. I could shoot it as is, but if I was handed this carbine, I'd end up taking off or changing much if the stuff on it... the grip, trigger guard, fore grip at a minimum. I like the dimensions of the LaRue rail, but I'm really loving the continuous top rail with the DD lite.... not based on looks, but versatility.

I have not even held one, but if I were in the market for a new carbine, or my first carbine, I think one would be hard pressed to beat this package. The only thing it is lacking is an optic. It comes with everything, even a light and mount. Very nicely though out package.
