I'm sure plenty of folks will be frothing at the mouth - this thing looks good.

Is a $1300 price point an okay guess?

We are trying to keep the price point low while using quality components to form a winning product.
So far, we are looking at:

Forged RA Upper/Lower
RA X11 Free Float Rail System
1:8 SS Barrel - Mid Gas
Pinned LP Gas Block
RA XTC Compensator
Samson Front & Rear Sights
RA Thunder BCG
Bravo CO Charging Handle

For the Lower
Standard LPK
Noveske QD End Plate
Magpul MOE Grip
Magpul MOE Trigger Guard
Magpul ACS / CTR

We are playing with the idea of Meloniting the barrel which case hardens the barrel big time (Same coating as Glock). It's very difficult to drill the gas block pin hole but we are looking at this as an option or we may just look at bead blasted SS barrel or Black Oxiding for guys who want the barrel black.

How does it compare to the DDm4 V5?

The XTC Comp, BCM Charging handle, pinned block, QD Endplate - all these details look spot on, that's a fantastic looking rifle. I think loads of people would be happy with that in bead blasted too.

Thanks for the info!

@bobin - The DD is a touch lighter, and a CHF chrome lined barrel isn't going to have the benchrest accuracy potential that a stainless barrel will, the Omega/Lite rails are a touch lighter than the Samson ones, but lack things like front QD cups.
Unless you're having Grant or somebody build a lower for you, I'd say that the Rainier lower there is more flexible (ACS, Noveske Endplate).
This would serve much better as a recce-style rifle, and if you toss a good aftermarket trigger in it, should work great for varminting, three-gun... Looks like a handy precision rifle was what they set out to build - so far looks fantastic.

I couldn't have said it better myself.

No doubt I'm lazy and didn't look very hard, but is this a 16" or 18" barrel?

16" Hence the word Recon. Are you new?

Looks like a really great package. The Rainier SS barrel is excellent and I would definately buy another. The iron sights aren't very important to me... I would go with magpul buis and get an upgrade on the trigger.

And the 18 would be SPR-ish? lol

If I wasn't so smitten in the land of SBRs that's a mighty fine looking rifle. With Rainier's excellent CS to back it up.
