Hello everyone. My name is bill and i just registered to this forum. havent even lurked it too much yet. i also frequent glocktalk and ar15chatterbox, and am hoping weapon evolution will be a good experience as well. i'm no expert by any means, so i'm always looking to keep up on the knowledge/info, products, tactics, etc. My current AR is as follows:

RRA Entry Tactical Upper (flat top), M4 feedramps, chrome lined barrel
YHM Freefloat rail system
M&P Stripped Lower filled with Daniel Defense LPK
Magppul MOE Pistol grip and stock
Magpul BUS
VTAC Surefire G2 Lightmount

it's as "KISS" as a non-factory rifle can be, and i plan on keeping it that way, aside from adding an aimpoint when i get the extra cash. my main concern is mastering the rifle as is and shooting as much as possible with irons before i move on to an optic. i'm also happy to say i built half the rifle myself (just the lower), but hey, it was my first AR and my first time building any kind of firearm. the stock and grip i coated with brownells coyote aluma-hyde as well. anyway, i look forward to learning from and contributing to this forum as much as i can.

thanks for the welcome stick. even though you get this all the time, i love your pictures.

as far as the rail, it came on the upper already. im not confident enough with my knowledge of the AR platform upper to attempt building one yet, this im not building another AR until i can do it from the ground up myself. unless i get lazy of course....

thanks john. like i said, i dont want much on it, just the essentials. light, optic, sling, and possibly stubby VFG. i'm loving the aluma-hyde refinish. their coyote color is ALMOST a dead on match to FDE. coyote is a little more "sheen" than FDE, but looks amazing in person. the process is dead easy as well. i'll post my write-up later in the appropriate thread.

thanks for the welcome. i havent completely made up my mind yet, but i'm going to start out with a Primary Arms Micro clone so i can play with that and see how i like the size and configuration. my friend has a primary arms M3 Clone that i can play with too. from there, depending on which i prefer, i will pick up an aimpoint T-1 or M3. not until im proficient enough with the rifle and its irons though. this is my first black rifle so im trying to teach myself everything step by step.

You might want to make a witness mark across the rail to make sure you know if it loosens up. Its cheap insurance and only takes a second or two.
