Rob Curtis from Army Times just hit me up to let me know that Tirjicon has a new RMR out. It looks like battery life is around 2 years with constant on, and it can be manually adjusted.

Rob has got a bunch of additional info on it, but it looks like Trijicon is getting much closer to what I consider to be a good duty optic.

This picture shows its size on a business card.

This looks like it has a lot of potential. In the world of ounces = pounds and pounds = pain, this would make a nice addition to any AR. I am insterested in seeing what abuse tests are done and what it can stand up to.

Any updates on the release of this product?

I have an MRDS and I've used an RMR. The problem was always shooting in low light with a flashlight. Even with double stacked batteries, the dot would wash out on a light background.
With the adjustable feature, this could be a much better option. I'm looking forward to seeing them released.
